10 tips if you are travelling to Córdoba

1. It’s a MUST going to Guemes neighborhood on a weekend afternoon. There, you will visit the craft and antiques fair, the little galleries around the fair with art and special designed clothing. By the end of the afternoon, there are nice and cute bars and pubs to share a good time with friends.
2. Once every two hours, there is a show of dancing water fountain in Paseo del Buen Pastor, placed in Nueva Córdoba neighborhood. It’s a very special show, and it’s for free!
3. If you are coming from another city, like Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Salta, Rosario (among others), don’t spend money travelling by plane! It’s a lot cheaper travelling by bus: busses are comfortable, travel during the night (so that you don’t waste any time during the day) and it’s 50% cheaper.
4. Those who like clubbing, should know that the best clubs in town are placed in “Chateau Carreras”, most have two or more dance floors and each has its own style. Take into account that transportation and entrance tickets are usually expensive.
5. The historical center and Hipólito Irigoyen Avenue are very beautiful during the evening. It’s safe, and people can walk and appreciate the lights of the area.
6. For shopping, you don’t have to go to the mall! There are several pedestrian streets, with lots of shops. It’s really nice shopping in the center of the city, with the big big sky upon your head.
7. Córdoba has a very interesting history. Knowing about the history of the city in advance is always good in order to enjoy a lot more the architecture, buildings and the city in general. You can start reading now, for your next trip to Córdoba!
8. There are festivals and expositions all the year. Some of them are not exactly in Córdoba City but in the surroundings.
9. Renting a car is not such a good idea to get to know the city: downtown, the traffic is a mess all day and is not enjoyable at all if you are in the car. The best option, is to walk and travel by taxi or bus.
10. It will make things a lot easier if you can speak the language, at least a little bit. Taking a Spanish Course at CELEC is always a good choice. www.celecargentina.com
